  • Scott Road Team Boa Shoe

    Features:

    • FOOTBED: Adjustable ErgoLogic removable insole
    • OUTSOLE: Nylon Fiberglass co-injected, Two Component PU / Stiffness Index 8
    • UPPER: Microfiber, 3D Nylon Airmesh
    • CLOSURE: Closure system with BOA IP-1 & anatomic fit straps
    • Glossy outer for optimised aerodynamics

The Scott Road Team Boa is a shoe for the road rider who wants the ultimate close connection to the pedal.

Featuring an IP1 Boa reel at the top of the shoe enable the user to make micro adjustments to the tightness of the shoe. The lower anatomic velcro support strap enables the shoe to comfortably conform to the shape of the foot.

Road racing and long distance cycling are suited perfectly to the Scott Road Team Boa shoes with their lightweight body and stiff soles for repeated accelerations, whilst the Boa system ensures long distance comfort by eliminating pinch points to the foot.

Inside the shoe features include an ErgoLogic insole with custom arch support and metatarsal button for total foot support.

Having a stiffness rating of 8 out of a maximum 10 this shoe is on the upper range of stiffness which is beneficial in road cycling. A stiff sole enables the rider to transfer all of the power generated into the pedal stroke without any going to waste through either compression or flex of the shoe.

    BOA IP-1 CLOSURE SYSTEM

The new, multi-operational IP-1 reel platform strikes the ideal balance between precision and convenience by offering pull-to-release functionality for easy on/off and two-way incremental adjustment on-the-fly.

Traditional pull-to-release functionality delivers the same easy on/easy off convenience that users know and love. IP-1’s new, two-way incremental adjustment capabilities facilitate easy tightening or tension release mid-ride.

IP-1 features an innovative hex design with a substantial TPE overmold for added grip and power

    ANATOMIC CENTERING STRAP

The Anatomic Centering Strap automatically aligns the top strap with the instep of the foot. A low profile adjustment for high tolow volume feet.

    POWER ZONE OUTSOLE ROAD

SCOTT has worked with scientists for several years todevelop a concept which integrates maximum comfort and efficiencyvia the outsole. The Power Zone and the Axial Flex are designed tominimize the strain on both the knee and ankle to improve comfortand reduce overuse injuries.

The stiff carbon fiber outsole has a stiffness index of10 and a replaceable TPU heel tread.Linear high modulus carbon in a specific 10 ply layup tooptimize sole stiffness from cleat area to heel and minimizeweight yet still allowing some torsional flex fromthe arch to the heel. Featuring a new alignment systemto make cleat mounting and placement much easier andmore precise.

    WRAP FIT

Wrap Fit upper incorporates a structural layer of synthetic leather which conforms to the foot like a second skin. The construction is comprised of two parts: the structural layer and the accu-form butted seams. This system provides a supportive structure that is comfortableand free of pressure points.

    RACING FIT

Just as no two people are alike neither are their feet. We strive to create shoes that are a supportive stable platform for maximum performance and all day comfort. A shoe that can adapt to a wide range of feet and offer a glove like fit.

    ERGOLOGIC FOOTBED

Our high-end road and mountain shoes all come with a new anatomically designed, adjustable insole. Foot zoning allows us to consider the anatomical shape of the foot and ergonomically pre-shape our insoles for a perfect fit to support the cyclist's foot. This provides a stable foundation for improved comfort and power transfer. The SCOTT modular footbed allows for adjustments to the rider’s individual needs and preferences. The footbed is designed to maximize performance and comfort:

METATARSAL PAD Reduces forefoot numbness and evenly distributes pressure

ARCH ADJUSTMENT Allows for correct foot alignment and adjusts for individual arch geometry and fit

HEEL CRADLE Increases heel fit and properly aligns the ankle joints during cycling

Scott

The Scott story began in the Sun Valley, Idaho by top class ski racer and innovative thinker Ed Scott. He designed and developed the first tapered aluminium ski pole, rendering bamboo and steel poles defunct at the highest level of competition. The company then moved into different markets with motocross and cycling emerging as new targets for the business. Greg Lemond stunned the cycling world when he used the first ever production aero bar, which was made by Scott in his 1989 Tour de France win. Innovation and technology remain at the forefront of Scott’s design ethos in all their products. Moving forward to the present day Scott produce; bikes, components, shoes, helmets, clothing and much more, all with the same meticulous detail to performance as when Ed Scott developed his ski poles in 1958. As a result it is no surprise Scott bikes and riders have been at the forefront of international cycle sport.

Nino Schurter and Jenny Rissveds stormed to victory in the XC MTB discipline at the Rio Olympics. The pair who ride for the Scott Odlo MTB Racing Team were riding the latest evolution of the Scott Spark. In road racing the Scott Foil and Addict have become the bikes to watch whether climbing up mountains in the Alps or blasting along the cobbles in the Arenburg forest. Adam Yates and his Orica–BikeExchange team mates have been producing consistently top results using Scott products. The latest big signings for Scott are the Browlee brothers Jonny and Alister who need no introduction in the world of triathlon. The brothers who have and continue to dominate the discipline will be opening a new chapter with the brand utilising Scott’s attention to detail and no shortcuts approach to creating the best equipment on the planet.
