MIPS® BRAIN PROTECTION SYSTEM
If you are seeking the best protection that money can buy then look no further. Scott helmets with integrated MIPS® brain protection system offer a whole new dimension in safety. No matter where or how you ride, choose a SCOTT helmet and Elevate Your Safety !
HOW PEOPLE FALL ?
Conventional helmets are tested by dropping them vertically onto a solid surface. They are designed to protect you from straight / radial impacts. For over 15 years, MIPS has researched how people crash in the real world. Collaborating with some of the world's leading neurosurgeons and experts, MIPS® has established that when you fall, your head most often hits the ground at an angle, creating a rotational shock to the brain1. This rotational shock can cause strain in your brain. A helmet with MIPS® absorbs much of that rotational energy, offering you better protection. And if, against all the odds, you do fall vertically onto your head, a SCOTT helmet with MIPS® will protect you just as well as an ordinary helmet.
MIPS IMITATED THE BRAIN'S OWN PROTECTION SYSTEM
The Brain is suspended in a low friction cerebrospinal fluid which allows your brain to slide within your skull to protect the brain under impact. MIPS® Brain Protection System is a unique technology intended to protect your brain against angled impacts by imitating the brains natural low friction, barrier, thereby reducing the shock transmitted to your brain. Under angled impact the helmet slides on the MIPS® low friction layer minimizing the rotational violence transfered to the brain.
Strategically placed outer vents connects to extensive inner cooling channels, ensuring each SCOTT helmet keeps you cool and comfortable.
MRAS2 FIT SYSTEM
The Micro Rotary Adjustment System II is SCOTT’s top of the line fit system offering unparalleled comfort, adjustment and stability. It features and optimized ergonomic fit designed to work seamlessly with the helmet and padding. It also features an easy to use ergonomic dial enabling one handed fit adjustment.
PC IN-MOLD CONSTRUCTION
During the in-mold manufacturing process, the outer shell of polycarbonate material is fused with the helmet’s impact absorbent foam liner, creating a super lightweight outer shell. With reduced weight and bulk surrounding the head, in-mold helmets are more comfortable than traditional helmets.

The Scott story began in the Sun Valley, Idaho by top class ski racer and innovative thinker Ed Scott. He designed and developed the first tapered aluminium ski pole, rendering bamboo and steel poles defunct at the highest level of competition. The company then moved into different markets with motocross and cycling emerging as new targets for the business. Greg Lemond stunned the cycling world when he used the first ever production aero bar, which was made by Scott in his 1989 Tour de France win. Innovation and technology remain at the forefront of Scott’s design ethos in all their products. Moving forward to the present day Scott produce; bikes, components, shoes, helmets, clothing and much more, all with the same meticulous detail to performance as when Ed Scott developed his ski poles in 1958. As a result it is no surprise Scott bikes and riders have been at the forefront of international cycle sport.
Nino Schurter and Jenny Rissveds stormed to victory in the XC MTB discipline at the Rio Olympics. The pair who ride for the Scott Odlo MTB Racing Team were riding the latest evolution of the Scott Spark. In road racing the Scott Foil and Addict have become the bikes to watch whether climbing up mountains in the Alps or blasting along the cobbles in the Arenburg forest. Adam Yates and his Orica–BikeExchange team mates have been producing consistently top results using Scott products. The latest big signings for Scott are the Browlee brothers Jonny and Alister who need no introduction in the world of triathlon. The brothers who have and continue to dominate the discipline will be opening a new chapter with the brand utilising Scott’s attention to detail and no shortcuts approach to creating the best equipment on the planet.
